Building Power Internationally - a 2 week

Do you want to learn more about the world’s first
global trade union formed by Unite and the United Steelworkers
(USW) in the USA and Canada? This course covers important themes
around globalisation and industrial relations in multi-national
organisations. During this leadership course you will have a unique
opportunity to learn with trade union colleagues from the USA and
Canada.

This prestigious course is open to experienced Unite
representatives. 10 course places are available to Unite
representatives and 10 course places are available to United USW
representatives.
Successful applicants will cover the

- The framework of the Workers Uniting global union
- The impact of globalisation
- What companies do: the corporate and global agenda
- The development of political and social structures in the UK
and North America
- Current labour and industrial relations issues in the UK and
North America
- Developing leadership skills
- Leading change in organisations
