demonstrations outside the main Marks and Spencer store in
Birmingham on 17 October 2009 |
On 3 October 2009, Two Sisters poultry processing factory in
Smethwick, sent 54 of their workers letters telling them they were
sacked. Their supposed "crimes"? - standing up against racism at
their workplace and defending their union reps.
Unite and the people of this community will not stand by while
sixty workers see their families' incomes destroyed and their
reputations ruined.

TWO SISTERS - GIVE THESE WORKERS THEIR JOBS BACK
NOW!
Unite, the workers' friends and neighbours, community leaders,
local MPs, private hire drivers and restaurant owners across the
city support this fight. We are also urging Two Sisters' customers,
including M&S and Tesco, to use their influence to stop Two
Sisters' shameful behaviour towards its employees.
Please help these workers win this fight for fair
treatment - and get their jobs back. Sign this petition
